| I'm sure the act I am about to describe will be condemned as sacrilege of the highest order by my peers in the geek community: I destroyed a 1987 version of Tetris loaded on a 5.25 inch floppy disk. To those who would denounce my actions, consider that I did not destroy, nor attempt to destroy, the essence of Tetris. Indeed, the essence of Tetris lives on in every cell phone, in every Game Boy, and in the hearts and minds of everyone who has played it. This copy of Tetris had become outdated and unplayable, and so it was "retired" with all the dignity and respect befitting one of history's greatest games. Thanks to "Paul #2" for suggesting a 5.25 inch floppy! |
