		Tips for Targets: The Solar Death Ray can only burn objects placed in the focus. The focus is basically a circle 4 inches across. Objects larger than this will only be partially exposed, which could be kind of cool. Objects shouldn’t weigh more than 5 pounds for practical reasons. Paper, cardboard, and wood targets will burn. Plastic targets will melt. Metal and glass targets will probably not get hot enough to do much. Darker colors are best because dark colors absorb more light. The more light the target absorbs, the hotter it will get. Black is the best color for a target. I’m not going to burn puppies or goldfish or anything like that. I reserve the right to interpret or misinterpret target suggestions for comedic effect. Keep it fun.
