Sound Card

Destroying a whole computer is
impractical with this death ray
because of the size of the "hot
spot" (about 4 inches [10 cm])
relative to the size of a computer
(bigger). Therefore it is necessary
to target the vital organs of a
computer one-by-one.
Some people will tell you that the "heart" of a computer is the motherboard,
while others will say it is the CPU or the hard drive. These people are
wrong, especially the guy who said hard drive. The heart of a computer is
what allows it to make all of those sophisticated BEEP-BEEP noises:
the sound card.
The sound card made
some impressive noises
while it cooked. Some
notable bangs rang out,
which I figure were
capacitors exploding.
One of the 8 pin chips
was completely
de-soldered, and the
center of the card looks
like it has been carpet
bombed by a squadron
of tiny planes.

Damage propagated
through the card.
Punching a hole in the
card was probably
possible, however the
stink forced us to shut
down after about five
minutes.
