| Since the dawn of science, the humble mouse has been mankind's experimental proxy. When a new cancer drug or perfume is developed, you can rest assured that countless mice will test it out before people are allowed to buy it. In order to legitimize the "Death" in Solar Death Ray, it seemed necessary to test the death ray on someone. And by someone, I mean a mouse. And by a mouse, I mean a computer mouse. |

| This was an optical mouse (i.e. no ball). It took approximately 4 minutes for the Solar Death Ray to kill this mouse. As you can see, the plastic peeled open like some kind of cybernetic banana. After that, the internal circuitry started to fry. A few capacitors were de-soldered from the mouse and fell on the ground. I feel confident that similar results would have been achieved with a biological mouse, so I'm ready to start human trials. |
