I consider myself a feminist. I firmly believe in equal pay for equal work, improved kitchen appliances, and other women's rights issues. As a show of support for my sisters, I decided to burn a bra (aka "boob shackles") in the Solar Death Ray. The brassiere is a symbol of the patriarchy's oppression of woman, and bra burning is a decades-old show of support for women who do not want to be supported. I caught Paul wearing the bra before it was strapped to the death ray. He said he was verifying the structural integrity, but that didn't explain the purse he had slung over his right shoulder. After Paul's journey of self-exploration, I strapped the bra to the death ray. I was surprised by how nicely the bra could be secured around the target rack.

The Solar Death Ray focused first on the central region of the bra. After a short time, the death ray was re-focused on a single cup.

The death ray blasted the brassiere for roughly 5 minutes. I have no doubt that the Solar Death Ray could have utterly destroyed this undergarment with little difficulty. Evidently, bras provide little protection from fire and/or concentrated sunlight; wet tee shirts would be much safer. As you can see, both cups had holes burned straight through (although one hole was much more prominent). These holes beg the question: did the death ray destroy this bra, or make it better?
