Simmons at a secondhand
store for 50 cents, and I
couldn't resist. After I watched
the tape a few times, I
remembered I had a Solar
Death Ray. As you can see
from the photos, this was a
pretty cool target. I decided to
point the back-end of the tape
at the death ray, with the
label-side facing away. The
tape started sweatin' almost
immediately, and soon the
excess plastic flab was melting
away! Unfortunately, the white
plastic tie wraps I used to
secure the VHS tape melted,
and the tape dropped out of the
focal point. It was almost like
the tape was trying to escape.
If I were in its place I would
have made a break for it, too.
